Let's shape the future of UHI, together.

UHI is undergoing an exciting period of transformation. Spread across two-thirds of Scotland, our partnership is adapting and evolving to ensure we continue to deliver for our students and communities by exploring early proposals for a more integrated partnership to strengthen our mission and founding principles.

In 2025, we delivered a formal engagement initiative to understand what students, staff and other key stakeholders were interested in.  You can read what they said in our Transformation engagement summary . This year, we are a step closer with the completion of draft Full Business Case which sets out a proposed new operating model for the UHI partnership. We aim to have the final proposal ready to submit to the Scottish Government by the end of 2026.

If you have any feedback on the proposals set out in the summary, please email the Transformation team. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of UHI.
